Each bag is expertly handcrafted with our signature Italian calfskin leather with custom coloured bonded suede lining. This leather is very lightweight, water-resistant and keeps its shape over time, making it durable and practical; the perfect companion for a busy lifestyle.

The making of our bestselling Loren Tote
Our workshop is located in Rome, Italy, and our team of expert artisans have been working with leather for over 60 years. That’s why wearing one of our products doesn’t just mean owning a unique handcrafted accessory, but you’re also supporting an ancient Italian craft that is struggling to survive.
The workmanship is made up of slow, careful, and encoded gestures that are at the heart of this typically Italian expertise. Each bag is made by our four artisans with specific skill-sets, and takes 6-8 hours to make by hand.

Meet The Designer
Hey there, I’m Alexandra, an entrepreneur since the age of 9 when I started my first business: an arts & crafts club. I founded Alexandra de Curtis in 2011, to provide women with functional and beautiful handbags to accompany them on their unique and busy lives.
When I’m not working I love travelling the globe with my family. I’m a kick-ass parallel parker and I work hard to be the best role model to my daughters. One day, I hope they will feel confident enough to follow their dreams, no matter what they are.
